This isn't on Williams. Final drive, completion to Odunze for
27 yards. 1st down, Everett drops an easy pass in the flat
about 6 yards downfield with his man to beat down the sideline.
2nd down, Wright whiffs on Hunter and Willaims gets plowed. 3rd
down, protection breakdown, Williams scrambles for 1. 4th down
Williams throws a corner route, and Odunze runs a corner up -
Odunze admits it was his error after the game. Odunze dropping
the TD in the endzone, he needs to get better.
Our two biggest issues are the Oline and the running game. If
Swift isn't getting it done, we have Herbert who is more of a
one cut and burst back. Or Johnson who is going to bust it up
the gut. Swift has a place, but you got to rotate to find the
hot hand if he is not getting the yards.

Indy should be a get well for the running game. Hopefully that
opens up more play action and in turn better offensive rhythm
despite the shitty OL. Waldron's claim to fame was his ability
to scheme around a bad OL in Seattle and still make Geno Smith a
competent QB so he better figure it out soon. It appears as of
yesterday that is leaning to doubtful and Latu is questionable at best for
next
Sunday.

Poles has shown loyalty to a fault. Eberflus and Velus for
example. But he has also shown for the locker room sake that he
can press the dump button like with Claypool. IMO it is time to
launch Davis. He is what he is. Ask He is a whiff. Addition by subtraction.

Rookie QB.
OC First year on the club.
Growing pains happen.
Just keep showing improvement. Caleb showed a little
improvement. O-Line didn't. Everyone show improvement. The
O-Line was pretty good at the end of last year. They couldn't
have forgotten how to block. They need to get it all together.
I am sure they are seeing the same film we are. Get better.
Fix your problems.
They will be a better and different team going forward. I don't
think they will get worse over time. We were not winning the
Super Bowl this year. We might make the playoffs if were lucky.
This has been known the whole offseason. This team is not
completely built to be competitive for years to come yet. There
is still work to be done on both sides of the line. Anyone who
can see knew this going into camp. Anyone who were certain they
would be a playoff team was fooling themselves. Let the seaon
play out and see where they are at the end.

When people here start talking what the Bears have done to
support Caleb they talk about all the stud receivers they have
gotten for him and the fantastic OLine they provided him
when the truth is the OLine sucks canal water, Its there on
video. Wise people see through it.

The Oline does indeed suck running the ball. But the Bears
Oline against a conventional 4 man rush is really not that bad.
Why do you think the Texans blitzed regularly with 1, 2 and 3
extra guys? They knew that the Bears could handle their front
4.
The Bears OC and the QB have to figure out how to handle these
blitzes - its not all on the O-line. The screen game was sloppy
and after a while will not be respected unless you can throw the
ball down the field.
