He is a rookie. It was his second game. Relax. They were
never going to the SB this year. All the hype was ridiculous.
As long as I see improvement from week to week I will be happy.

Leave the entire line in Houston.....find replacements. It could
not be any worse than this group.....they are worm dung. Did
they even suit up tonight, I'm sorry I didn't notice.....

Williams is a rookie, but supposedly a rookie more prepared to
succeed initially than most in recent memory. And many of his
throws look amateurish.

What I saw was him overthrowing his receivers then trying to
correct it he underthrew them. Hopefully he will get it figured
out. I am not prepared to call him a bust. I think he has a
chance to be the best Bears QB in my lifetime.
Not sure why anyone thought he was going to light it up right
out of the gate. That is not the norm in the NFL.

Well, I hope you're right, but I have concerns. Did prior to
them drafting him.

Not an unexpected loss. FWIW IMHO:
The Good:
1. The D is legit.
2. ST is good enough to get by on.
3. Some growth by Caleb (one step forward, one step back).
4. Thankfully Poles drafted a good punter........
5. Bears weren't expected to win ?
The Bad
1. The offense is bad. Typical Chicago Bear offense bad (see
Ugly below). Meanwhile the puke and gold to the North seem to be
able to plug anyone in and make them look like a real NFL QB.
WTF is it with the Chicago Bears and offensive football ?
2. Whoever called for that first challenge to be thrown should
be FIRED today. And if it was Flus alone then it shows an
astounding lack of objectivity and awareness......
3. The Bears weren't (correctly) expected to win.
The Ugly:
1. Personnel usage on offense was trash. For example every snap
Everret touches the ball is a wasted down. They cannot waste
downs. That is something this offense cannot overcome
2. It looked like Waldron is trying to make a pure pocket passer
out of Caleb and he seemed chained for the most part to dropping
straight back- he just isn't right now- square peg in a round
hole (a Bears specialty BTW- -now lets put someone who is a
center at guard and some other stiff now at center- sheesh). He
will have to develop those skills but will have a tough time to
develop when the playcalling/Oline/execution/personnel selection
is so poor that it will develop BAD habits.
3. There is nothing this offense can hang its hat on as an
identity- except that it sucks...
4. That Oline. Woof. Its a part talent problem and I also think
part coach (the goof they kept from the piss poor offensive
staff last year)....
5. Poles blind spot for the position HE PLAYED is going to kill
this team......

So much for hoping for improved Oline play. They are one of the
worse groups in NFL. Shelton is dog ****.
Waldron is not helping anyone out. His personnel groupings and
play calling are atrocious. JSN WR in Seattle called it on a
live interview with CHGO. I was hoping it was just personal
grudge between player and coach but nope JSN just calling it
like he saw it.
Now I know it's only game 2 but when it comes to personnel and
play calling usually as a fan you know. If you all remember I
am a UF Gator. I called Napier as sh*t after third game for
same reason. I personally really really worried about Waldron
as OC, hope I am wrong.

Hard to tell about Williams when the protection is subpar, and a
run game that is nonexistent. I think that sometime in the
future, between Williams and Fields, Williams will be the better
QB. And to be honest, Fields will be super glad to be out of
Chicago, he's playing under a much better coaching staff. As
hard as he is to get along with, Harbaugh would've been a much
better choice over Eberflus. We play the colts this next
weekend, a very winnable game. If the offense doesn't start
playing better, the D will eventually cash it in. It's early,
we're 1-1.. The problem is, Bears fans are desperate for a
winning football team...

Two big problems. Bears can't run the ball. Maybe they need to
give a power runner like Roschon Johnson a few touches as he
gets healthier.
Years ago the Vikings in a night game played a 5 man line
against Trubisky or Fields. Bears couldn't figure out how to
stop it.
Last night we saw Houston throw 5, 6 and 7 man blitzes at the
Bears and the Bears could never make them pay.
We saw a couple half back screens totally fail (on one the
halfback was tackled by the LDE) and another CW missed a very
short pass. The WR screens were a total cluster.
Typical Chicago Bears offense where we all get excited about a
15 yard completion to a WR. Few and far between.
We've seen this story before. Opponents commit to stopping the
run and make our QB stay in the pocket and beat you.
