The D and ST bailed out the O. It was nice to see Bates
replaced Nate Davis who should be releases along with Velus
Jones tom morning, if not this afternoon. Kind of jazzed up
right now. I think next week will be a come down to earth game.

Yeah there was a lot of rookie playing his first game from Caleb
but he didn’t throw stupid passes the way Levi’s did.
A lot of defensive linemen played well.

Pass rush was better than expected. Caleb mostly made good
decisions. Eberflus and Waldron made good halftime adjustments.
Defensive backfield was frisky. DeAndre Carter was a nice
       surprise.
Middle of offensive line was no match for the Titans interior.
Caleb wasn't consistently accurate. Running game was
       non-existent.

Titans roster looks pretty damn solid. Bears will be challenged
running the ball. Wait till you see that monster in the middle
from Texas T'Vondre Sweat. I wonder if the Titans got him to
lose some of his 366 lbs. And the guy next to him isn't too
       shabby either Simmons.
Calvin Ridley, Tony Pollard and DeAndre Hopkins - not too
shabby. I don't know if Hopkins is good to go.
Really, the only possible weakness I see on that team is their
       QB - Levis.
T'Vondre Sweat is not only a big man at 366 he's quick and made
Jenkins and Shelton miss on a few plays. He didn't win the
Outland for being just a fat fuKK. Speaking of Shelton, he
needs to be replaced - I haven't seen the stars/goats of the
game articles yet but he's got to be one of the goats.
I don't know why Davis replaced - injury? But I want to see
       Bates at center next week.
I totally underestimated Carter as a returner - he's electric.
Velus Jones is done as a return guy - but he has value at backup
running back and emergency WR plus special teams.
And the best player of the game for the Bears? Will Levis.

Well.. that went kind of like I expected (slow start but ramping
up for the win as I said before the game) but didn't expect a
very poor offensive showing (Oline was ranged from almost not
bad to horrendous all day). I had some different impressions
seeing only spot look ins during redzone but watching it in
condensed form showed me some things.....
       The good:
They won. They showed adjustments on both sides of the ball. Not
too many flags (most were on special teams). This team has that
feeling that it will keep coming at you regardless of the score,
that relentlessness does (and did today) pay off. Lots of folks
around the ball defensively. Taylor a 6th round trade pickup was
a steal. Carter on kickoffs is electric. Santos solid. Williams
did not turn the ball over (look at what the Denver QB did- lots
of yards, a TD but two picks- and lost). Special teams as a
whole (minus the now inevitable Velus Jones thing) Poles may
have been sneaky smart drafting Taylor because he sure got a lot
       of work today.
       The bad:
Tory Taylor got a little too much work in today. Why does this
team not seem to be able to get Williams his FIRST NFLtouchdown
pass (Keenan Allen, wtf you doing man ?). Most of first half
offense was practically non-existent. Defense had issues early
on. It looked like Moore and Allen both came up a little hurt at
times. Odunze other than the one catch was invisible.
       The ugly:
The offensive line. WTF do they have to do to get a CENTER who
can play football ? Year in and year out it seems they just
can't seem to find one. Its only a matter of time until Velus
Jones "Velus Joneses" another game for the bears with his
buttered oven mitts he calls hands.....
A win is a win is a win. The only thing you can really tell
(other than the win/loss record) from game 1 every year is how a
team responds. In previous seasons that would have been a
class-A whooping of the Bears. Not this year. Thanks to an
improved team they seem to have some leeway to weather errors
that in the past ensured they were mediocre at best. Mama said
       there'd be days like this.....

Definitely the OLine blows chunks, but we knew that but the
       Bears have ignored that.
