Ryan Poles was the right hire. McCaskey got that right and
deserves credit for it. Ever since Poles got hired we have been
doing things the right way. Bears are on the up and I
personally see big things in future. Whatever they do, do not
let Poles walk!!

JJ, I watched Fields against the Bills but was watching in a
crowded while eating dinner. However, from what I saw he has
all of the same problems and the same skillset that gives you
hope. He is not a finisher when the game was on the line he
faltered. He also had a hard time getting them into the
endzone. I think Tomlin will cater to his skill set better than
the Bears did. I am not sure Fields would have been as open to
it with the Bears as he is now. The jury is still out on if he
can be great or not, but I think he will be a decent NFL starter
someday.
Wshfl, I am not being negative. I am being realistic. It is
obvious Williams has a ton of talent and could very well end up
being the best Bears QB we have had in our lifetimes. But he is
a rookie so don't expect it this season. He will have some
amazing games, but he will also make some big mistakes that will
cost them games. It is just the nature of the beast.
All I am suggesting is to lower your expectations for this year
and hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised instead of being
deeply disappointed. If you expect SB this year you are setting
yourself up. Hope for a wildcard playoff game and go from
there.

hiber, I agree. He has definitely righted the ship and has them
headed in the right direction.
The hard part is keeping the team together after this year.

I would rather hang on to Cunningham for as long as possible
over having the comp 3rds. He was the one who was keeping Poles
from trading up when he was getting antsy on draft night. Poles
and Cunningham make a great team. Even though the Bears did
give him a contract extension, I know he will get his own GM gig
soon. It would be nice though if he at least sticks around long
enough to get a ring with the Bears.

The Bears have their starting QB on the first year of a contract
- I'm not too concerned - there's flexibility.
Just hang on to the those 2025 draft choices and resist the urge
to spend draft picks and cap on high priced aging veterans.

You have to have quarterback wideout left tackle pass rusher and
lock down corner. The rest are interchangeable. Bears have all
under new contracts but may have to upgrade Jones contract if he
plays well. The Bears are in good shape and have a first and 2
second picks next year.
