I would have to agree with Aikman about getting Williams on the
field for just a handful of plays. Keep him safe, do some simple
plays to get him started, but get him on the field.

I am incredibly impressed with both Ripien and Johnson. Think
they both made the team in one preseason showing. Amazing...

Not much play from Booker so didn’t see the alleged pass rush.
Dom Robinson the same.
Didn’t see any targets for Velus Jones and Scott. Nobody
impressed on defense.

The D didn't have a great game, letting the QB fake a guy out of
his shorts and No.45, whoever he is, having the same issue for a
Texans TD.... if they decide to keep three QBs, it should be
Williams, Bagent and Rypien. And Colin Johnson might squirm his
way in at receiver which will be a tough deal with so much
talent at wideout.

Colin Johnson looked like he was playing in Austin again. Not
too fast but has that length and acrobatics. He may have had
won the first battle for the final WR roster spot as Dante
Pettis fumbled that punt.
Never heard of Rypien before the offseason - but he looks like
he can give Bagent a run for the #2 job. There will be folks
wanting him to start the next incomplete pass Williams throws.
Overall pretty much a yawner. I think though that #36 had the
most fun tonight.

It was lame but it was a meaningless W. It seems like for as
long as I can remember the opposing team always dominates the
first quarter against the Bears in pre-season.
