Dave, they always have the money. This isn't Bobbie Brownlie
and Dillon Maples era. They don't draft guys without having the
money, and with the 9 slot-or-sub guys already signed, the
overslot dollars for Lovich and Southisene are already in hand
to spend. No waiting required at this point.

Thanks, deeg. Interesting. They had ~$967 in discretionary, so
with $500 to Lovich, that leaves the other $400+ for Southisene.
$600 slot + ≥$400 gets him to or a little over the $1M
mark. Interesting that they liked a 5'9" infielder with a 2B
arm for a full million. Heh heh, hope he becomes the next
Altuve!
I wonder if perhaps Southisene gets a flat $1M, and there was an
extra $50 or so for Mangus, get him up to the nice round $200
mark?
I still haven't really heard or seen comments from Kantro on
Southisene. Curious what he loves most about him.

Interesting that James Tibbs—picked one spot before Cam
Smith—signs for $4,747,500.
Smith signed for full slot $5,070,000.

I think that puts Southisene right on the dot for $1.0 million.
I did some roundoff when calculating discretionary, and with
roundoff had it at ~967. If Lovich and Mangus got 570, that
would have left ~397. Southisene slot was ~399 short of 1
million.
So I'm guessing the difference between my ~397 and the $399.2 is
iust some roundoff stuff, and that Kantro had the exact $399.2
available to put Southisene right on spot for a million. Maybe
he saves an extra thousdand, or an extra dollar, so Southisene
can tell people he signed for "over" a million!
