Redrafting Avitia! That's kinda fun. He was one of the
overslot possibilities in his previous draft, he chose college
and Hambley got the overslot. His GCU numbers got a little
       worse each year,

Aschenbeck was A&M’s closer, voted best in country…
Not overpowering, but dirty slider, and throws strikes…Will
throw any pitch in any count…

Aschenbeck was a lefty closer for Texas A&M. Apparently has
good control. Had 2.2 IP against Tennessee at one of the CWS
       games with 7 K.
Only scouting stuff I found was from 2022
Evan Aschenbeck (@Ev_Asch_23) has come to play today. Making
quick work of his first two innings, the LHP has shown great
command of his off-speed to help pick up 4 strikeouts so far.
       FB: 84-86, 87
       CB: 76-77

Cubs pick Hayden Frank, who had a limited year for Lipscomb, but
is doing really well this summer on the Cape (3.27 ERA, 15 K, 2
       BB, 11 IP).

Cubs take first baseman Cameron Sisneros. He showed a lot of the
same batted ball qualities of their other picks this year with
       strong contact (IZ-Whiff% <10%, incredible lack of chase% (12%)
and good EV (105.5 mph 90th%)

Sisneros broke a lot of Paul Hoilman’s records at ETSU.
       Who remembers Hoilman? Don’t lie!

The Cubs take Christian Gordon out of VCU. A rare non-gigantic
pitcher, Gordon stands 6’0” and features a low 90s FB with big
carry (>20” IVB) and low VAA giving illusion of rising on a
hitter. Also heavily featured a gyro slider.
Stealing these from Greg Zumach on twitter mostly. Gordon is a
       lefty.

I remember him. Tremdous raw power. high strike out rate. His
power declined with the Cubs, while his strike out rate did
       not..

The stats haven’t been good, but Cubs draftee Ben Johnson
features a deep repertoire that at least based on data I’ve
received looks good from Stuff models. This is a deep sleeper in
       the Cubs draft class.
