Steele looks absolutely filthy, embarrassing Langford, striking
him out twice on back-to-back pitches.
The ump missed the first call; so Steele buried a fastball down
and in on a pitch that was both impossible for Langford to swing
at, and impossible for the ump to miss again.

Why burn Merryweather after one hitter?
It’s unsettling that Morel was DH-ing on opening day against a
RHP. The bottom third of the order is pretty dire.

Chunky boy Leiter did well. Bullpen feels precarious. Shitty
