Yeah, Brown looked pretty snappy today. Brown's breaking ball
is really nice. He missed on some fastballs, but most of the
misses were close. Looks promising.

Busch with a mammoth home run to CF. Cooper with a long HR to
left.

Caissie seems to have a knack for squaring up pitching mistakes.
That’s a hallmark of good big league power hitters, obviously.
The HR today was a terrible pitch belt high, middle w/out much
action and Caissie didn’t miss the opportunity. Like the way he
keeps his head focused on contact point and stays balanced.
Pitchers are going to get him out with top notch command of
their pitches—as they do with all but elite hitters— but seems
like Caissie will make pitchers pay more than most when don’t
hit their spots.

Busch's swing certainly passes the eye test. Generates easy
power and doesn't seem to have any obvious holes.

Agree, deeg. Busch looks like he might be a good, solid
all-arouond player. Excellent 1b-defense. Runs OK for a 1B.
Looks balanced at the plate. Some power. Selective, good
discipline, will take some walks. Getting hits against
big-league pitching is always super hard, of course. As is the
mental game when you're slumping. But he looks like he's got a
chance to be good.

As someone who thinks that all Dodgers and Yankees prospects are
overrated every year, without fail…Busch has looked the part
throughout the spring. I hope he has a great season.
