I have flushed out Williams. My concern is what the Bears do at
9. For me its critical. One of the most stupid things I have
seen is a tradeup with Tennessee to get Odunze. We just dont
have
enough trade capital to go throwing away. But whatever happens
Thursday, I expect some wild things happening.

Poles gets this right.

We've discussed this before - if there's a run on the 4 QBs then
the Bears should get a quality player at 9. If there's not,
then a few teams behind the Bears will want to leap frog the
Vikings to get a QB and might make a tempting offer that should
include a 2nd rounder (even though the charts don't warrant a
2nd rounder).
That's why I would not include Denver as an appealing trade
partner - no 2nd rounder. Maybe Vegas or the Saints.
I've seen some crazy mocks lately. Alt slipping to 9. MHJ
slipping to 9!

Not sure I would be too disappointed with a trade back netting
Jackson Powers Johnson and a receiver like Pearsal, Leggett or
McConkey among others. The bust factor for receiver is awfully
high. Yet Harrison and Odunze are pretty dedicated guys.
Newton is also a nice looking 3 tech.
On the other hand I see around the league in close games and the
end guys like Jamar Chase, Jefferson and Lamb usually making the
play and this is the chance to get that guy.
Glad I’m not Poles.

I'll <a

/>this is from Schefter behind the paywall. But it would be
cool
if ATL pays in the worst way possible...without of course the
Vikings swap that their fans are deliriously fantasizing about.

The most overrated player in the 2024 NFL draft?
Jayden Daniels.
Stay far away.

For our second pick I would prefer, in order, MHJ, Joe Alt, Rome
Odunze, Dallas Turner, One of the other two OTs, Byron Murphy.

MHJ/ALT - little chance either will be available at 9
Odunze - better than 50/50 (assuming someone trades up for a QB
maybe higher)
Turner - 25% chance he's there at 9
2 unnamed OTs - 75% chance both will be available
Murphy - 90% chance at 9

Yes I saw that. They had Tennesee taking a player other than
Alt. Who knows, maybe they are onto something, like some high
proof dope.
Come on Thursday. I am sick of mocks. I want the real thing.
