Both Odunze and Verse will be there at 9. Bears might be able
to get someone to trade with them for the right to draft Odunze
and then later pick up Verse a few picks later.
Turner appears to be rated higher just about everywhere but
Verse may be more of an Eberflus DE.

I like how Poles is building up the team on both sides of the
ball. When Orton managed the Bears to 9 wins as a rookie, a
dominant defense carried him. CW is a galaxy ahead of Orton
skill wise and has superior weapons. He will not be asked to do
too much which would ease his learning curve and hopefully still
lead the Bears to wins. Most of the running around and
improvisation at USC on his part was a necessity because of a
poor OL. The Bears OL is not elite like the majority of teams
in the NFL. But it should be better.
And while it remains to be seen if the Eberflus D will come
close to Prime LovieRon D, it should be solid based on last
year. If Eberflus gets his way, a DE is at play at 9 or a trade
down for sure. Recall the video where Poles looks up at the
screen and said if this guy is there, they getting him.
Eberflus licking his chops said, "yeah, let's get two of them."
I'm starting to resign to the option that the Bears might indeed
use Odunze as bait.

BTW, in the unlikely event that Turner is there at 9, I would
hope Poles would swat away the physical traits that Tampa Two
disciples tend to cling to and just get the BPA in Turner. And
after trading down, I would probably lean Murphy over Verse but
that's just me. I see Murphy with a higher ceiling at a
position of need even with Dex and Pickens waiting in the wings.

I worry about Turner, so to speak.
The analyst, I think his name is Fields Yates, says he watched
all of Turner and Latuu’s sacks.
Turner’s we’re mostly clean up or other rushers forcing the
quarterback off his mark .
Latuu got straight to the quarterback at the snap and arrived at
the quarterback as he was setting his feet. Of course there’s
the neck fusion surgery.
I’m wondering if getting a 3 tech tackle, supposedly the key to
the Tampa Two, might be a better move in a trade back.

Don't worry about Turner:
HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP8RwY1aFOA
The guy is a freak athletically. 4.46 40 and 40" vertical.
He is a little bit undersized at 245 lbs.
Latu is probably more advanced skill-wise but Turner has the
most potential given his athleticism.

I see some might not like this, but it doesnt surprise me. I
like it, but had hopes for a slight tradedown from #9.

I really expected Turner to be gone @ #8.
Differnt draft, different day
Bring on draft day, I am getting sick of all these daily changes

I still expect Odunze to be there at 9 and not Turner, but who
knows? Lots of chatter about the Bears trading down for one of
the big tackles.
But if Turner is there at 9 I think the Bears should snag him -
defense could be top 10.

Odunze available at #9 is one popular mock draft thing that I
don't believe will happen.
If he's there at #8 and the Falcons don't want him, their GM's
phone will blow up with trade offers.

That's fine then Turner drops to 9 and the Bears either take him
or their phone blows up too.
