The Super Bowl is a good commentary on the Bears choices.
A generational quarterback with just a couple weapons vs an
above average quarterback with several weapons.

I am leaning towards taking CW. I love Fields attitude and his
humility and am ok if they do decide to stand pat with him, but
I just cannot see how you pass on a talented guy like CW....I
       just cannot see it...

No one is denying the physical gifts and the mental decision
making on the field. This comes down to what is between his
ears as a leader of men. Poles needs to do exhaustive work
       before pulling that trigger.

And we havn't discussed this much but do we need to land a
halfback in the draft or free agency?

As usual, I'll look for a productive RB in college at the
combine who can run a low 4.3 who unlike Achane can actually
stay healthy. But I doubt Poles will allocate much for an <a

Herbert is considered speedy, but not 4.3 speed but sub 4.5.
But you also need a HB that can pass block and can catch the
ball out of the backfield. Herbert has his troubles pass
blocking and we really don't know much about his pass receiving
skills since he's hardly targeted. RoJo has the desire to be an
excellent pass blocker and has the hands to be a good receiver
       but he's not speedy.
It's tough to get a guy that has it all: speed, durability, is
a pass blocker and can catch the ball out of the backfield.
       Forte comes to mind recently.
Bears could find another 1 year rental HB, but Herbert is in the
last year of his deal and hasn't proven that he deserves a new
deal. I guess they can kick the can down the road another year
since they have more glaring needs at other positions.

Matt Forte was criminally underrated by Bears fans for years.

This looks good to me. I'd love to be watching the combine. I
think that will determine which way the Bears go.

I've been fighting for a 2025 NFL Draft forum for years ...
       totally ignored by ADMINISTRATORS.
How did Bitterman describe it ? Sad.
Looks like we are stuck with 2024 ...
LETS GET IT AWN MOTHERFUCKERS !!
I have a first pick in the first round ,
various people will perform oral sex on me for that pick,
       not that I wouldn't mind,
       HOWEVER ...
do I build on the foundation that I have at QB or throw it away
and start all over again BECAUSE I have the first pick in the
       first round ?
       QUEKSTION ONE ...
What if I DIDNT have the first pick in the first round ?
Would I continue to build around my current QB because that was
       my only option ?
Would I add to his strength at WR ?
       Center ?
       Right Guard ?
       What would you do ?

The real dream scenario, no matter how it happens, is that the
Chicago Bears finally draft a quarterback who becomes an
excellent player, a true "franchise quarterback".
The fantasy dream scenario is that the Bears have someone other
than Caleb Williams rated as QB1 in the 2024 draft, they are
right in their scouting, and the Commanders give up a ridiculous
package to move up one spot. The Bears gin up a frenzy for
       Fields in trade.
They draft Maye (or whoever), a top center, a pass rusher to
complement Sweat, more interior line help (offensive and
defensive), and an Eddie Jackson replacement (same instincts but
tougher and a better tackler) .
       Git er done, Poles!

I heard the administrators were so tired of your bitching that
they were going to add a new 2035 draft board for you
