Obviously, this isn't a top five NFL roster yet, but it's pretty
good.
I'd like to see a little more beef in the interior of the
defensive line. Must stop the run. MUST, MUST, MUST.

Bears did lead the NFL last season in allowing fewest yards per
game on the ground. If Dexter can adequatley replace Justin
Jones they should be OK, though there's not much depth at DT.
Byard should also provide better run support from safety than
Jackson. Not too concerned about stopping the run. It's the
pass that worries me.
We don't know what Williams will be able to do with all his
weapons, but I'm not expecting too much from the pass rush
though there was some improvement when Sweat joined the team.

Historically after the draft, I can remember the Bears draft
grades always being poor. It use to piss me off because as a
fan (especially a Bears fan) draft time would always bring
optimism. I would think like many others that we were
improving.
Fast forward to current times. We are getting A's for grades
every year now. You can feel the shifting momentum of a team on
the rise. The players are going to want to come to Chicago to
play for the Bears now.
It really does feel different than in the past. Our team is on
the rise.
I for one am looking forward to C. Williams "owning" the Packers
ever year!

From most things I'm reading, the pundits are grading the Bears
draft fairly high. The big head scratcher being Taylor. We'll
see how Booker turns out, I'm not big on trading away future
picks..

I'm ok with a future pick trade if it involves a player needed
now.
I guess we can argue picks 3 & 4 until they produce.
I'm hoping Poles sees the big picture.

There’s a lot of high expectations going on from both Chicago
and national media about Williams.
Let’s remember he’s a rookie who’s not run a pro style offense
and developed some bad habits with his backyard style. He’s
going to need some work and the first half of the season will
not necessarily dictate his career. NFL DB’s will bait a young
quarterback and he’s going to learn that.

That's true. On the other hand, they're going to have their
hands full trying to cover Moore, Allen, and Odunze.
Oh, and good luck to the linebackers and safeties trying to
cover Swift, Kmet, and Everett.

agreed. We are going to be a nightmare to cover, especially with
jumpball artists like Odunze
