@AdamSchefter
Bears have signed assistant GM Ian Cunningham to a contract
extension, per source. Cunningham has been the top lieutenant to
Bears GM Ryan Poles as they have reconstructed the Chicago’s
roster. Cunningham is expected to be one of the top GM
candidates in the next hiring cycle.

This <a

/>to the almighty is so bloody creepy as hell and just so Bears
right before one of the biggest nights in franchise history.
The skyline window and roof is exactly like the Vikings stadium.
It would be funny if/when King Warren goes back to AH hat in
hand...

This deal has a long way from being done. Warren is leveraging
public sentiment and the power of the city of Chicago, to get a
significant contribution from the state and taxpayers. He has
laid his cards on the table. I would still say that Arlington
Heights is in play, but they blew their first opportunity to get
this done early. Schools were greedy, and not playing the long
game with them. Bad choice. This will go through the
government, the Friends of the Parks, etc, and start to drag.
Then Warren will go back to AH, and see if they have interest in
getting back in the game.

Zero cents of public dollars for any private sports venue. The
teams make billions, they can pay for their own stadiums.

But this is a public-owned stadium. Not the Beard stadium.

Doesnt matter, Chicago doesn't need a new stadium just because
the bears want one. I don't believe any municipality should pay
for sports stadiums. Esp when the product on the field is not
affordable to a majority of the citizens being taxed for it. The
city has many many other needs for tax dollars, not to give a
hand out to the McCaskey's.

I agree. No government should own or finance any sports
stadium.
But they do.

They shouldn’t invest even when the stadium brings potential
hundreds of millions new dollars to the municipality in tax
revenues and new jobs?

Not one tax was raised or proposed. Not one dollar was asked for
that isn’t already on the books.

The Bears are investing 2+ billion of their own money into a
publicly owned and managed stadium.
