Mooney was getting slammed by some Bears' fans - guess the rest
of the NFL knew of his real ability. Let's see what he can do
with Cousins in Atlanta.
And the Bears offered Bills' receiver Gabe Davis a similar deal
as the Jag's offer - he chose to go to Florida and work with an
established QB/offense.
Both Mooney and Davis signed for 3 years/$39M.
Bears need a desparately need a veteran WR - how about double
DJs? DJ Chark is a big target as is Calvin Ridley. Small
receivers out there like Curtis Samuel and I think Hollywood
Brown is still available.

Broncos, Vikings, Patriots, Giants, Seahawks, Titans
Who else should be interested?

I wonder how much $$ Calvin Ridley is wanting…

There is some conjecture about the Colts and Eagles, as a
backup.

What about the Rams?
He could be successor to Stafford who is injured half the time
anyway.

I'd bet more than Mooney/Gabe Davis. Ridley is 29 but when he
plays a full season (4 out of 5 healthy) - he puts up 800 to
1000 yards and 7 to 10 TDs.

I think the fact that Fields isn't generating more interest from
basically anyone and teams are willing to jump on proven vets
instead is telling. I'm more willing to bet Williams is going to
be drafted by the Bears at this point, even to the point it's
basically a done deal. This leaves Fields presently without a
starting job anywhere-presently. That can and most likely will
change at some point....

@AdamSchefter
Bears are giving former Chargers TE Gerald Everett a 2-year, $12
million base value deal with a max value up to $14 million that
includes $6.1 million fully guaranteed, per source.

For some reason i always felt that if Fields was in Frisco it
would be a dynasty.

Only possible negative is he's 29 but as a backup TE that is a
nice pickup. They can always bring back Mercedes Lewis or find
a journeyman type. Probably means Brock Bowers is not in their
sights.
