IMO EQ has to go. This guy brings nothing to the table. He
       showed that last night...

EQ average 15 yards a catch last year and had some key blocks.
But we're talking about the 6th WR spot.
If Bears feel VJ can't be trusted they almost have to go with
Pettis. Unless they have someone else on their mind that can
       return punts.

What happened to 59 to get ejected from the game. The stupid
Indy broadcast thought interviewing a player about their stupid
Birthday on the sideline was more important then following the
       game.

It looked like he took a swing at another player but I think he
was just knocking the lineman's hands off of his jersey who was
       blocking him after the whistle.

I didn't see anything on the Indy feed from NFL Network. The
camera moved with the ball and they never replayed what might
have happened. Indy announcers just so. "Oh looks like a Bear
       is being ejected." Nothing more.

The Indy announcers were horrible. I finally muted them in the
       4th…

Listening to Irsay was like hearing Charlie Brown's teacher with
       Sean Penn's Fast Times accent.

If I were the Bears and making cut decisions I stick with the
theme that this is still a building year. Youth over Vets.
If Fields were to get hurt, I would rather see what Bagent could
bring, instead of Walker. We know Walker's ceiling. I am not
interested in watching a Bear's team with Walker at QB.
Same goes for DE's and DT's, keep the young guys, cut the backup
       vets.
The only move I even am remotely ok with going with veterans is
the Oline. Gotta protect Fields well enough to see him progress
in his career. Hard to progress if running for his life every
       game.
We are not winning the Super Bowl this year. Continue with the
plan Poles, keep going with younger players. Things are looking
better. Next year we will start contending. Watching the turn
around while building for the future is fun, watching us be
       mediocre with vets is not.

There is no team, no coaches, no players in the NFL that starts
out the season thinking this season is lost and they won't even
       contend for a playoff spot.
What if the Bears start out the season winning 6 of 8. And
Fields sprains an ankle and Bagent is the only QB. Now some may
think that Bagent can step right in without getting many reps
during the week and lead the Bears to victory. Maybe he can.
I have not yet reached that point, but its certainly looking
more and more like a possibility. I still think there's a place
for a Walker or Peterman (maybe just Peterman).
Did you notice last year that Poles didn't unload the veterans
Quinn and Smith until after the Bears started losing?
Poles is doing a good job of mixing youth and veterans. Look at
O-line, HB, WR, QB but probably not TE so much. Defensively,
DT, LB, CB and safety have a good mix. Even DE. If the Bears
had not added Walker, Ngakgoue and Green they'd be pretty much
left with last year's Gipson and Robinson - even Terrell Lewis
who all were near the absolute bottom of PFF grades at DE.
Fortunately, at DE you can switch guys in and out.
Who says the Bears can't contend this year? If they can make
the playoffs - anything can happen.
