Once we're able to trade draft picks in 10 days, I'll be open to
trading as high as my second rounder for the right closer. Just
in case anyone has one to offer.

What a **** joke. Its 16 games of use for eligibility at a new
position. What if he gets hurt at 95 games and only has 9 games
at 2b.... does Tico get to use him at 2b for 80 games??? even
though he would never get to 16 games at 2b? If Betts gets hurt
in 90 games, why does that player gain eligibility for a new
position now and the advantage of playing that that slot
immediately? its 16 games for a new position. I request that he
NOT be given this advantage.
Tico 100% led the charge to limit the amount of starters a team
could have which crimpled my past team. now he seeks a an
advantage and Ya'll are ok with it. ITS 16 GAMES for new
positional eligibility. not 35 backup innings in 5 games. Betts
is welcome to get 2b or SS eligibly when he hits 16 games.
If you don't agree, please find a new owner for my team, I
wanted out at the end of last year, and this is 100% the last
straw. Betts SHOULD NOT get 2B or SS edibility by the rules of
our league till he gets to 16 games at either position.
I beg you to find me a player with a established position that
got granted a new positional eligibility like this ever in our
league. Its always been call ups or 1st year players moved to a
new position, Like Betts when he was a minor league SS and got
moved to OF. NEVER a MLB that got 5 games at another position
and granted that position.

Some of this predates me.
I’ve have been pretty consistent about giving position
exemptions to players if there is quotes from managers about how
they are going to be used. So I need to be consistent with
this. If the league would like to enforce the rule about
playing players at their primary position then that should be
something to be changed in the off season. It hasn’t been
enforced for some time.
Tico currently has 4 MI on his team in addition to Betts so I’m
not really sure that he’s getting any advantage by playing Betts
at second, OF, or utility.

Dodgers have already moved Betts to ss and he’s unlikely to play
2b anytime soon… but we’ll good for ticos team it’s unlikely he
gets to 16 games at 2b. Let’s just give him Ss eligibility now
too! And I mean why wait 16 games. F uck the rules.
