If I were Poles I would love to get 2 and 12 from the Texans for
my #1.

According to the chart - that shouldn't happen. The value
difference between the 2 picks is a middle of the pack second
rounder or some picks in round 3, 4 and 5.
However, the desperation factor could kick in with the Texans
(i.e. the Colts are offering X and Y and next year's Z).
When the Bears traded for pick #2 (Trubisky). They gave up pick
#3, and a 3rd and 4th rounder plus a 3rd the following year. To
me that seems OK, because it enables the Bears to get Anderson
who I kind of like right now and adds a pick in the top 100 of
the draft. The Colts could give the Bears more picks but you
won't get Anderson as the Cards will snatch him up. But you
could get Carter, or the 2 DEs.
Then you had the 49ers giving up the farm for Trey Lance in '21,
but that was not just next-door pick swap.

Well for next few months we will all be doing our own draft
trade down scenarios. Here draft value chart:
HTML https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp
Trade Bears #1, #55 (Pitt) Points 3000, 350
Total 3350
for Texans for the #2, #33, #76 Points 2600, 580, 210
Total 3390
I would then trade the Bears #2 pick Points 2600
to Indy for the #4, #35 Points 1800, 550
and WR Alec Pierce
I would then select BPA at #4. I believe it would be Jalen
Carter, which would solve our 3 Tech issue. We would have two
high round 2nd picks and two high 3rd round picks. Alec Pierce
flashed as a rookie WR and would add to Money and Claypool (and
hopefully more WR talent to come).
I tried to do something that I think is very realistic.

An ideal scenario for the Bears would be for Houston to move
from two to one to grab their top QB, then the Colts to move
from four to two, so they could assure themselves of getting the
next QB who very well could be their top-rated QB. Those two
trades, at minimum, would leave the Bears with at least the
number four pick in this Draft, three second-round selections,
including two in the top five of the second round, and an extra
first-round pick in 2024. With a first and three seconds, plus
all the cap space they have, the Bears could turn that roster
around quickly.

I'm not sure Houston would want to pay anything to move up. They
know we're not QB shopping..

Unique approach to trade downs. I like the 2nd round swap of
picks. BTW, Texans have pick #73 (225).
So why stop at 2 trade downs? There's a 3rd franchise QB yet to
be drafted and Seattle, Vegas, Atlanta Carolina and the Titans
may want him.

For the right offer, I'm fine with trading down quite a bit.
There's quality on defense and OL in the middle of the 1st
round.

Once Washington resigns Deron Payne he could be part of a trade
package. Or how about Jets Garret Wilson and Quentin Williams
and their first?
