Fields strengths are the rollout, not staying in the pocket.
An offensive line that can roll out with him either left or
right can only improve a team headed towards a new destiny.

We'll see if they can build upon the competence (and improve the
rough parts) tonite. Should be interesting (can't recall when
TWO Bear PS games were available without resorting to some kind
of streaming/finagling on my end (NFL+ works for next weeks game
for me)......

Very important read:

Lots of good stuff in there even if you get past Jenkins.

I wasn't going to re-up my NFL gamepass this year (the streaming
thing that lets you watch condensed games etc) but it
automatically updated and gave me NFL+ too (bet it wont be next
year). So it worked out :D

Me too. I was going to dump the whole too expensvie mess, but
free is a good price, so fine. Just saw the 9 minute blip of the
game, man, I dunno. Anytime you have to include a punt in the
highlights, well.... I remember the year they got Vince Evans
and watched him in a preseason game. I knew, I knew we (back
then it was always we) were headed to the superbowl, based on
what I saw. Then the season started, when games counted, geeesh.
Hope its better tonight.

Yeah Vince Evans sure melted when the games were real (although
I think its the Halas Curse myself). I remember him coming back
and playing for I think it was the Raiders ? for a little while
too......
There was an opinion piece (think it was from the old SI) from
the 70s (think it quotes Ed Obradavich lot) and it was something
to the fact that Halas felt the QB wasn't the driving force
behind the offense, it was his system and Halas could plug and
play anyone in and make it work. Well we all know how that
worked out. Still a crying shame that Butkis and Sayers never
were in a playoff game.....
