Cubs announce they signed 19 of 20 draft picks including 2nd-rd
pick LHP Jackson Ferris & 4th-rd pick RHP Nazier Mulé.
Lone unsigned pick is HS RHP Brock Blatter (19th rd).

news about Ferris!

Draft-siging deadline expired last night. All 1st and 2nd
rounders ended up signing. Ferris was by far the highest-paid
of the regular 2nd rounders. Only two others over $2, one at
$2.0 and one at $2.35.
Only two 3rd-rounders got more then Paciolla.
Brock Porter's $3.7 4th round deal blew both Ferris's and Mule's
deals out of the water, but no other 4th rounders got more than
Mule.
As deeg noted, whatever you think of the strategy, it appears
they executed and were able to get some guys they really liked.
Time will tell whether the guys they liked can develop and will
be worth liking!
