Well, to belabor the point, Hill got most of his playing time in
May and September. May because Soto was on the DL for a couple
weeks, and September when the season was over and Welington
       Castillo was injured.
Not that I care about Hill, but is Steve Clevenger really that
desirable that it was a certainty he should've been the backup
       all year?

When Geovany Soto was injured and Wellington Castillo was called
up, Castillo should have played every day.

That isn't a common feeling for you?

Hendry is gone, and since Soto had to have rest, playing Hill as
much as he was does not constitute a bad decision by Quade, but
instead a bad decision by Hendry in leaving him on the roster
instead of one of the minor league catchers who might be worth a
major league roster spot. And, as I said, Hendry is gone.
No real reason to continue ragging on his mistakes because you
don't want to "let him off the hook." He is "off the hook" in
rather final fashion at this point.

If you aren't Dutch, you aren't much.
If you don't believe me, ask Craig.

Interesting piece from Marlon Byrd (who observed changes in
Philly and Texas leading toward their success) on culture change
       within a baseball team.
