       $90 wouldn't cover Prince's Red Lobster bill..

       Couldn't do that.
It would make the Cubs a powerhouse for the next 15 years.
       Wouldn't want something like that.
We need to win now. No excuse for a major market team with a
big budget not to be in the running year in and year out. No
reason the Cubs should not both compete now and compete every
       year.
Other big market teams like the Phillies and the Yankees have
never had to go thru a major rebuilding while also fielding
pennant winning teams.... at least "never" if you define that to
only include the current periods of strength for those teams and
ignore the periods when they were seriously rebuilding.

Yu Darvish is worth $10-13M per year, easily, but with the
posting fee you'd never get him for that. He has better raw
stuff that any SP in the majors right now, with the possible
exception of Strasbourg if he's 100% back.

Prince is a vegetarian, so I doubt he would eat at Red Lobster.

I believe his vegetarianism was quite short lived. Milwaukee
newspapers say it only lasted about three months.

Yeah, I'm sure he could eat all the vegetables in Wisconsin in
       three months.

We have plenty of vegetables in Wisconsin. Hot dogs. Spam.
       Pork Chops. White Castles.

A few weeks ago, there was a good article on catchers' ability
to frame pitches. Today, we have an extensive write-up on
       blocking pitches in the dirt:
  HTML http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/another-one-bites-the-dust/
I haven't spent nearly enough time reading it to digest it
all...but I will point out that Geovany Soto is 11th best in the
majors at blocking pitches in the dirt, while Hill is 16th.
Both rank high (there were 59 catchers total), but this is yet
another thing Soto does better than Hill.
