       Who's Mark Buehrle?

The Cuddyer idea isn't bad, but my guess is that Flaherty will
come decently close to that level of production for a lot less
       money.

Is Cuddyer able to play any position other than first base or
corner outfield acceptably well? If he could play everyday at
third, I'd think his value would jump by several million a year
       this offseason.

If you're going to pay that, you might as well throw in the
extra year and $30 million or so to get the younger, much better
       CJ Wilson.

How about Pujols at third and Fielder at first? I would think
they would score a few runs next year if they did that.

Deeg and br, when I say Buehrle I'm taking him at this word that
he only wants to play another couple of years, so something like
2/28 with maybe an option. Otherwise, yes, go for CJ.
As far as Buehrle and Cuddyer are concerned, I'm looking at
Ricketts' comments that he thinks things can turn around quicker
than people think. Well, if so, you need solid players that are
reasonably priced. Sure we could go after both Pujols and
Fielder, especially since it's not my money.

One guy that is very interesting to me is Nick Swisher. A month
or two ago, it seemed like his option was definitely going to be
picked up...but some Yankees fans seem to want to make him a
scapegoat for the Yankees losing in the first round. If the
Yankees let him go, he'd probably be my first choice as a bat on
the free agent market--he's a good OBP and good power guy who
still has a couple of prime years left and shouldn't take more
than a 3 year deal to sign.
I guess the Yankees will probably pick up his option even if
they want to get rid of him, though. They could probably get
something decent in a trade for him since he only has 1 year,
$10 million left on his contract.

LaHair's trade value is never going to be any higher.
Hopefully it will stay there until Theo gets his feet on the
       ground.
