So you recognize that his training in that regard has nothing to
do with the status of the Bears O line. It's what any QB would
do when he assesses a weakness.

The offensive line and the QB are tied together, they work as a
       team. You cant separate them.

Like when Leno would go speedbump mode and then pick the QB
       up....like clockwork....

The last regime traded up and launched two first rounders for
       Justin Fields.
Does the current regime build on that or let it die on the vine
becuz it wasn't their choice ?

I think they did OK except for drafting a punter with the last
pick. Unless he is the next Ray Guy or something, there is just
no reason to. It felt like a "fuck it, we have an extra pick we
have no clue what to do with." There has been too much of that
for the last 50 years at Halas Hall (or at least since Finks was
fired by the McCaskets). Hope he works out, but it left me
feeling a little more uneasier with the draft than I would have
       liked to feel.....

I disagree on the punter. I heard somenone say they took him
with the late round pick so they wouldnt have to compete for him
as an UDFA. This way they got the guy they wanted and didnt
potentially lose him. Kinda makes sense to me. Besides it was
       a position of need.

having lost their punter to the Pack I'm OK with drafting one
       with the last pick.
I remember him at N Carolina, kicks long (kicks off too I think,
wonder if he's a holder also). Even if he doesn't win the job
I'd stash him on the taxi squad. He'll play somewhere
       eventually.

       Here's the piisser personified ...
what if this whole draft Actually Works ?
BTW ... Nathen Peterman in his debut in L.A. threw 4 INTS in
the first quarter for the Bills.
That's signing quality backups when the bank is broke.
Anybody on this board want to tryout at QB at Halas Hall ?

Curious to your thoughts on this question. Say we end up with a
top 5 pick and we have the choice of a top pass rusher, wr, lt
and qb, where do you go? Are we sold enough that Fields will get
it to pass on someone another too qb prospect?
