Actually? NO, because that would be against the game plan.

Draftnics have no idea what Poles will do. He might trade both
pics. He might draft an O-lineman or two or draft two wide
receivers or an interior d-lineman or ???
Lots of possibilities for the Bears.

I keep thinking of what Daniel Jeremiah said from his days as a
scout.
“I’d rather trade back and get more bites at the apple”
Outside the top 20 or so players he sees a mix of 50-60 guys and
you can’t say for sure who will have success so more picks is
better than higher picks.

It just depends on how the draft flows. If you really like a
guy then you trade up - if you have similar grades (read needs)
with multiple players you trade down.
Pace really liked certain guys and frequently traded up which he
was often criticized for.
For example, in 2020 both 5th round picks of Darnell Mooney and
Trevis Gipson were trade ups. But his 2 trade ups were
failures: Trubisky and Anthony Miller.

There is only one perfect view of heaven ... that of the sky
over your head.
If this applies to Justin Fields because we didn't draft to
protect him ...
and his back is laying on turf ... we deserve every punishment
we should get. >:(

I'm anticipating at least one trade down. Top four picks - in
no particular order - OL, WR, DT, CB.

Agreed, unless a “too good to be true” at another position
drops…

If these mediocre quarterbacks and wide receivers go early there
will be first rounder that fall .

And we are swinging two picks in the second.
