It was nice to see Goldman and Trevethan play in the first half.
Would have liked to see Arob and Roquan play some snaps in the
preseason. And Mooney, although I think he suited up but I dont
recall seeing him on any downs.

Didn't like that our starting interior lineman couldn't pick up
a first down early in the game.
Ifedi gave up a sack early but that was his first action. Old
man Peters did OK.
None of the corners really stood out. Where is Marcus Trufant?

DB is definitely a weakness along with OL.
Bars played C with the second team. the tape never lies guy went
off on Mustipher getting pushed around on his post game show.
WR is also a weakness.
Supposedly Trufant's Dad died. But I don't think he played in
any preseason game.

FWIW on this preseason game:
1. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd postulate that Nagy
planned to make Fields not look good (or at least not use his
current strengths to stress the opposing D) with his play
calling so that he wouldn't have to back out of his "Andy Dalton
is our QB1" statement. He is that hard headed for sure. Of
course KISS says it was just his crappy play calling again.....
2. The D still looks a little soft and unready. As I suspected,
they should get more turnovers this year, but will also give up
long drives by taking bad angles, taking chances, bad tackling.
If the Bears front does not get to the QB , the secondary is
going to get torched badly a lot. I still get Mel Tucker vibes
from this defense.
3. After the Fields TD throw (a wow throw by him and a wow catch
by Horsted) it felt like Nagy said "OK. Thats a wrap. Nothing to
see here, move along." when he started Foles the second half.
Would have liked to see one more series for the kid, but c'est
le vie....
4. Special teams coverage was much better this week. Not that it
could get much worse from last week but baby steps.....
5. The NFL Channel broadcast was crap. Charles Davis and Dan
Hellie kept blah blahing when there was something on the field
to talk about. A few times there were flags but they were
jabbering about something unimportant and we could never hear
the call on the field. So you'd come back and it would be 1st
and 20 or something and have to assume a holding call was made,
etc. Guys, what goes on the field first, please. To top it off,
they switch from the last snap (literaly as the ball was
snapped) of the game over to the other game to spend a minute
before kickoff of the next. Twenty seconds wouldn't have been
too long to wait to pull the plug. Horrible production all
around, but I guess its preseason for them as well.....
Well, its off the the regular season (hate that its 2 weeks
away) and the roller coaster ride that is the Chicago Bears
begins. Stock the beer (wish I could eat brats) and my liver
says "buckle up- its going to be a rough ride !" :D

Iggy the backup MLB played well. Gipson flashed a few times.
WR depth is bad. All preseason, weve had very few WRs open. I
saw Ridley on teams for the first time i can remember and he
made a tackle. Maybe ST contribution gets him one more year.
Peters looked better than I thought he would. Mustipher doesnt
add much to the run game
