Honestly, this all plays as harmless to me. The whole shaving
rule is asinine to begin with, and having a few characters on a
roster isn't a bad thing. The guy has a sense of humor and a
blunt demeanor, but I haven't seen anything that rises to
"malcontent".

Aren't the Yankees the only team with such a rule. Seems utterly
absurd to me.

There's so much fertile ground for Seinfeld references with the
whole number thing, but I have no idea if Frazier is a fan.

I think that back in the 50's and the 60's most teams had that
rule. Remember the Oakland A's had a bad boy reputation because
they had mustaches and long hair.
I don't mind such traditions, one way or the other. For a
million dollars a year, I'll shave every hair on my body.

I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a free agent who
seriously challenged that rule yet.
Two years ago, if Gerrit Cole had said "I like the contract
offer, but I'm going to sign somewhere else unless you eliminate
the no beards rule," would the Yankees have called his bluff?

Arizona Phil is a tremendous source of useful information.
Connor Menez will get a 4th minor league option in 2022 if he is
added to the 40 at some point next season. It has to be used in
2022, however, so it won't be available in 2023 if it isn't used
in 2022.
