I could see the Cubs signing Simmons, especially if they get
Stroman. It would be very them.

I want them to take Kiermaier's contract to help get Taylor
Walls from the Rays.

Heyman says the Cubs are in serious talks for Stroman. Seems
like this might happen.

Certainly has the glove but I see nothing convincing with the
bat. He does draw walks at least but I’m skeptical he’ll ever
hit enough to be a real impact player.

I'm all for signing Rizzo. Then after each loss, we can glory
in his glovework at first. Only real problem is that I kinda
like the 1B we already have and think we could pour our money
elsewhere.

I’d like to have Kiermaier, period. Kiermaier in only 851 career
games has 30 bWAR.
True, he’s not at his peak anymore but still a nice player.
Pricey but would be a significant CF upgrade. Cubs need help in
center.
