That sucks about Clark.
It means we probably keep Spaeth, Davis and Adams.
Dez Clark has been a hell of a Bear for a lot of years. I was
hoping he could have a nice year for us.

In a real season gsme the Bears win that game going away. They
dominated the Titans on both sides of the ball.
The O-line has stepped up if they keep improving this is going
to be a fun year. The D-line was getting all kinds of pressure.
I am very disappointed in the WR's. Bennet was awesome the
rest all made numerous mistakes.
Goulde needs to get his head out of his ass and quit missing
field goals. Hopefully Barbers injury is not to serious and at
least Dez Clark will get paid an injury settlement.

I agree both starting lines looked good. Mr Haney was doing good
till that Int for a TD. With Clark going down it may mean both
the kid from Virginia Tech and the kid from Purdue make the
club.

Random thoughts:
Hester and Williams are consistent about being inconsistent.
Webb and Carimi had another solid game pass blocking and their
best game run blocking. Lance Louis was Ok but still got beat
soundly at least a couple times. Garza had a huge hold on that
screen to Bell that would have put the Bears in a first and goal
with a 7-0 lead at the time.
Could Tice surprise us all and insert Spencer at C and move
Garza back to RG as many have predicted?
Major Wright overran another TD run play.
That Titans WR sure liked that slant play on the right side..he
beat both Bowman and Jennings on it several times. Not sure
that play can be stopped against our cover 2 if the QB has the
time and makes a good throw.

Okoye played a ton this game and performed very well. The
announcers kept saying he was on the bubble. Are you shiiitting
me? I see no way he does not make the roster. It is only a
question of does he start or rotate in a bunch. I would love to
see him and Melton lined up inside together on obvious passing
downs.
Gholston is probably going to be cut unless he absolutley brings
it this last game. Even then I doubt he makes the team.
I am liking what I see of Dimacio or whatever the rookie
undrafted MLBers name is. He is always around the ball on
special teams and defense. I think he makes the team as
Urlachers back up but I hope we see him on nothing but special
teams this year.

There was a rumor going that the Bears might be looking at a DE
and I thought at the time that couldnt be because they had
Gholston and Wooton, but it looks like Gholston might be in
trouble which could explain the rumor

Watching the game on NFLN today. The Oline looks like it could
be a strenght coupled with running game. Hopefully Martz does
not get pass happy, because I believe we have an above average
running game.
Cutler, Forte and Bennett are the weapons on offense. None of
them are overly sexy, they are just football players. They are
the 3 guys we can least afford to lose on offense.
On defense I think Jennings and Wright are going to be the weak
links. I see us vunerable against the pass. I think the Dline
will be good and hopefully can "make up" the difference in the
passing game. Man it would be nice to have a ballhawk DB on
this team. I think if we lose Tillman it would be a big blow.
I think Clark is going to be bigger loss than initial thought.
He was playing in 1st Q; I think the Bears had plans to use him
on certain plays. I was thinking he was strickly a backup this
year. I think possibly the coaches had situation plays in store
with him.
Lovie's after game interview he basically said that they have
not been blitzing the passer in preseason and that he is not
worried about dline. Almost a bit cocky which you don't see
from Lovie ever. Makes me think the coaches really really think
the Dline is special this year. I am thinking so as well.

They are getting some awesome pressure with out blitzing. The
Bears first 4 games are against some very good teams and if the
Bears can be 3-1 or even 2-2 coming out of that they should be
good to go. Lovie always has a few surprises in store for the
first few teams on the schedule. I am sure this year is no
different. Especially with all of the time the coaches had on
their hands this year.
