If anyone needs a laugh, Joel Sherman is suggesting this.
Cubs get Stanton + Prospects for Darvish, Heyward, Kimbrel. At
the end he suggest the Yankees could expand the trade to get Ian
Happ.
Stanton has played 41 games in 2019 and 2020 and is signed
through his age 37 season.

From my notes:
#84.
signed in July 2018 and posted a weak 0.583 OPS in 75 DSL PA.
In 2019 he returned to the DSL and posted a solid
0.333/0.411/0.571 line in 189 PA with a 0.238 ISO, 14 SB, and a
21/25 W/K [1.60]

Very interesting column on Yu Darvish by Sharma (not that I
totally understood all of it).

Theo's gone at the end of the week:
Sahadev Sharma @sahadevsharma
BREAKING: Cubs announce Theo Epstein will step down as president
of baseball operations in November 20. Jed Hoyer will be named
to the role.

Wow. We heard some rumors this might happen, but this is still
pretty surprising. Obviously Theo deserves so much credit for
bringing us a World Series championship and changing the culture
of the franchise. Still, I welcome the change. It's time to
shake things up, and Theo himself probably knew it. It'll be
interesting to see what's in store now that Hoyer is the man at
the top.

More Theo:
Jon Morosi @jonmorosi
Source: Theo Epstein intends to take the upcoming season off.
He’s not resigning in order to pursue a position with the Mets
or Phillies.
After ending the droughts in Boston and Chicago, it seems like
being a GM for another team would be pretty unfulfilling. I
wouldn't be surprised if he's done as being the top executive
for a team. He might stay in baseball, but I bet it would be at
the league office. Or he might branch out. I still think he
might eventually end up in politics.

There are some tweets speculating that Theo's next move could be
to be part of a team's ownership. I'm not sure how well he would
fit in that role. Would he want too much control of his GM?
Would the best GMs want to work for his team knowing that a
future Hall of Fame GM owns the team?

He'd be more of a Derek Jeter type role.
Speculation is this will free up around $9-10 million in the
budget and that is why he left. Did they announce who the GM
will be?
