Another homer off Kimbrel. That's 11 in 23+ innings as a Cub.
Also gave up a double.

Kimbrel bad again, Q bad again. Those are two key guys who need
to be good if the Cubs hope to contend.
Also two of the guys you'd like to be able to trade if you end
up going into sell mode.
Hopefully they'll get squared away when the season starts.

How did Maples look? Did he have a clue where his pitches where

Cubs score 16 runs, and not a single post.
Baez and Contreras with home runs. Mekkes looked good, as did
Winkler. Underwood, not so much. I suspect that he will
shortly be a free agent.
Miller should make the team, as the 26th man. He is an
excellent base runner, with better than average defense and
makes decent contact. If it comes down to Miller or Rivas, I
would go with Miller.
Chatwood looks like he is finally ready to fulfil some of his
potential.
Brothers looks outstanding. If Kimbrel falters, he might be the
closer, at least while his health holds up.

Chatwood 3.2 innings, shutout, 4K/0BB. Brothers 1-2-3 inning.
Happ is having a really good spring, hitting .482, and only like
4K's in ~30 AB or something like that. We'll see, of course.
Two springs ago, he had a great camp, hit a bunch of HR's, led
off season with a HR, but then fell off and lost the leadoff
role. Last spring he had a terrible spring and ended up going
to Iowa. HOpefully this good spring holds up, into and through
the season. (Obvioiusly not to the tune of .482 BA.)
Winkler and Wick each had shutout innings, but with a walk and a
hit each, so probably not real compelling.

Remind me... is there a max number of pitchers allowed? Must
that extra spot go to a player not a pitcher?
