Rodriguez left with right biceps soreness. I swear on TV I
heard him say that he felt something pop.

With a fastball clocked at 99 mph, Manuel Rodriguez has a chance
to advance through the Cubs minor-league system quickly.
But that could hinge on test results after Rodriguez left
yesterday's game with right biceps discomfort following a pitch.

Kimbrel to throw bullpen today, lined up to pitch Wednesday at
Goodyear, Manuel Rodriguez to undergo MRI on right biceps

Thanks, bennett. Man would it be nice to NOT have it be rotten,
and for him to be fine and throwing 100% by May 15 or something.

For those not watching the game on ESPN. They have had Rizzo abs
Bryant mic'd up all game and it has been a lot of fun.

That telecast was awesome. Having Rizzo chatting while at the
plate, talking about choking up, and then lining that two strike
single was great. The broadcasters handled things very well- it
could have been awkward but wasn't. It really illustrated what
we loved about playing the game- the camaraderie and the behind
the scenes fun. Baseball needs to figure out how to expose the
television public to more of that.

I thought it was funny as hell when he said he had no clue what
pitch was coming and asked if he could get a couple of "bangs?"

Sadler looked good in the evening game. Steele has nice stuff,
but had no command last night.

Hendricks and Mills start the two games. Mills walked one.
Otherwise, 3IP with 3 K's and no hits for both of them.
Long ways to go, but Mills looks to have an inside track on
making the roster. I think that would be fun human story. Guy
with limited stuff, looked like he might end up being a
journeyman treadmill AAA guy. But suddenly gets a callup late
last summer, has a good run with the Cubs, and now suddenly he's
likely to be a major leaguer. would be fun to have him locating
his offspeed stuff consistently enough to be good.
Maybe long-man/6th-starter only. Very unlikely to ever get used
much late-innings. But I still wonder if he might work his way
into some usage as a 6th-7th innings type guy?

Quintana pitched. Gave up 3 runs, HR included, in the first,
       shutout 2nd.
I think that leaves Kimbrel as the only pitcher likely to make
the open roster to have not pitched yet. Those two are really
hinge guys on ow the staff will work out.

stadium gun). K’d Votto on curveball, alowed homer to Dietrich
(95 heater), Akiyama groundout, Barnhart reaches on grounder
that Bote bobbled, K’d Ervin on 96 fastball.
