The more I've read about Starling the more I've come to like the
idea of the Cubs taking him.
But I would rather they take a college hitter or pitcher.

The one thing I really dislike about him is that with Boras
representing him, and based on some of Starling's comments, it
appears rather unlikely that he will sign quickly enough to play
anywhere this season, meaning his development will be delayed,
perhaps by a full season. That doesn't bother me much with
young arms, which can easily end up overworked, but it does
bother with position players, particularly those who appear to
need further development of their hitting mechanics or pitch
recognition.

I really hope we don't take Starling. Tom will confused walking
through the stands talking to fans not knowing if they're
talking about Starlin or Starling.

Starling sounds a lot preferable to Springer. I think I'd
prefer a possible K-king is to a multi-year proven K-king.

As far as pitchers go, I'd be ecstatic if we re-drafted Sonny
Gray...

You'd need Gray's permission to do so. He'd have to be a dope
to grant it.

Some might be interested.... I just got this email this

the discussion could sign up for insidetheivey.com (I was
unaware that I once did).
