Reading the KC papers this morning is enjoyable! Here is an
article about the sack...

Wims caught that last pass from Bray 40 yards downfield with his
right arm only. The defender had hooked his left arm and had it
pinned down. Impressive.

Hard to disagree with any of the remarks by the Chiefs about the
sack...looked like textbook form to me. I was surprised they
flagged it.
I was also stunned that they picked up the flag on the late hit
on Daniel when he ran out of bounds at the end of his long run.

Watching the game-thanks VJ-and Javon Wims, a 7th rounder? He's
playing much better than a 7th rounder! Think we got a steal in
him...

Wims graded out as a 6th or 7th rounder. Concerns were with his
quickness to get by corners on the LOS. They recognized his
ball skills but says he lacked top end speed (4.53 40).
He looked fast enough to me. And he probably won't be matched
up against top corners during the season so he could be very
productive.
Bears have a problem at WR - but unlike last year its a good
problem.

Anyone else notice the chicanery the first few snaps at the
beginning of the game? Lot of movement right before the snap.
I am guessing that was just to make Green Bay waste some time on
it. Or was it...

Noticed that, too, Peke. One was right before the snap. They
lined up with the back in the backfield and then right before
the snap, went to empty backfield. Like the timing of it.
Normally everything the Bears do is telegraphed too soon.
Another one was wideouts flipping sides, all of them.

From the Trib:
The most notable player on the field was probably second-round
pick James Daniels, who started at left guard next to center
Hroniss Grasu. Coach Matt Nagy said earlier this week the left
guard spot was still up for grabs between Daniels and veteran
Eric Kush, who didn’t play.
Did not see the game. But there appears to be a possibility
that Daniels may win the LG job over Kush. I'd guess Kush is
60/65% right now but I haven't seen the game and I know that
Kush is average at best but does have a Nagy/KC connection.
You'd hope a guy that was drafted 39th in the NFL draft starts
for you but Daniels won't turn 21 until after the Green Bay
game. It's just a matter of time before he's starting.
