True but it's clear nobody wanted Desmond King

I'll change my mind if Trubisky becomes a hall of fame QB
Oh really, how nice.

I don't know why he drafted a guard but it could be Long is far
from healthy. He had serious ankle surgery and lost so much
weight he didn't have the shoulder surgery.

Same here Joki. Sad draft from top to bottom. Worst I've seen in
years. My mother could have drafted better from her casket.

dallas I get your sarcasm. I'm not downing the Trubisky pick cuz
at least I can justify it. It's the rest of the draft which
appears to be a waste of time. Small school players who do not
necessarily represent our bigger needs. I hope to God Trubisky
turns out to be a quality field general for years to come. I
just think Pace traded away picks when we should have been stock
piling them. Of course he most certainly would have wasted them.
I'm almost of the mind to beg angelo to return.Geeez!

I think as Bears fans we've just gotten so jaded in the last ten
years, as we descend into cleveland territory, that we kind of
expect failure and instinctively crap over all the draft picks.
I remember the Whitehair and Floyd picks getting no love last
year. The picks I really liked last year were Jordan and
Bullard and i went with the consensus from experts and posters
here that floyd and whitehair were bad picks. So i was at 25%
in terms of which picks i liked. In his first draft (lauded by
the analysts), Pace had limited success and guys who have been
hurt. His draft last year was the best the Bears have managed
in a long time. Im more then willing to give this years draft a
chance, especially since i have no real other choice.
Dallasbear's Trubisky love does inspire confidence, as I think
hes one of the more football savvy posters here. I'm looking
forward to the bears giving other teams matchup problems in the
passing game if the TE develops and the rb's skills translate to
the nfl.

I didn't hate the Floyd pick, I was just stunned and
disappointed that we moved up and that it wasn't to take Tunsil.
As far as the Whitehair pick, I didn't see it as a great value
pick, or a great need pick, but Pace obviously saw it as a BPA
pick, and it has turned out nicely.

If a poll was put up as to this being the best or worse BEARS
draft ...
I wonder how fans would vote ?

We won't know the answer to that for several years.
If Tribusky is a top ten franchise type QB then it will be the
best in a very, very long time. If he is a bust it is going to
be among the worst.
I would say right now the majority of Bears fans don't like the
draft.
I am willing to take a wait and see approach. Maybe Glennon
plays well but not great and Trubisky can sit for a year and
learn then take over the following year. Then we could either
trade Glennon or keep him as a back up.
Wouldn't it be nice to have two decent QB's?
