In the waiting to see what happens next mode :
Pace assures his paycheck because everybody has to wait and see
how what he drafted turns out.
Since Glennon will be the starter and Trubisky will not.
       That's job security.

Hey guys, what did I miss? LOL Was on the road and my work
computer blocks this site. Dallas called it wanting Trubiskey,
I called 2 QBs drafted with first two picks so I was half right.
I drove back from Detroit to Nashville listening to WSCR on
Friday so I got a full earful of the talk. I think the best
comparison was made Dan Parkins. He went over the last 10 years
of the exact picks made at the draft position of the picks we
gave up in the 3rd and 4th rounds. In 10 years, the only player
of note was Ronnie Harmon (wrong spelling) running back for
Denver. You wouldn't recognize and of the other names.
The grades that the talking heads out there assign to the draft
are as accurate as the mock drafts, completely subjective. They
make fans feel good for the moment, but that is it. You like
grades? How about our dynamic 2015 draft class?
  HTML http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000491802/article/2015-nfl-draft-grades-bears-texans-falcons-earn-high-marks
"CHICAGO BEARS: GM Ryan Pace and head coach John Fox, both in
their first year with Chicago, are intent on rebuilding the
Bears with a bunch of intelligent, hard-nosed football players
with non-stop motors. Fox, in particular, covets explosive
big-bodied athletes at every position, which is why the Bears'
draft features some of the top testers in pre-draft workouts.
Kevin White is a dynamic pass catcher with exceptional speed,
quickness and burst. He is a natural vertical stretch receiver
who could blossom as a WR1 in the Windy City opposite Alshon
Jeffery. Defensive tackle Eddie Goldman is a behemoth on the
interior, but he plays light on his feet and provides the Bears
with a run-stuffer/pocket-pusher at the point of attack.
Offensive lineman Hroniss Grasu and running back Jeremy Langford
didn't command a lot of attention during the pre-draft process,
but each is a rock-solid prospect with the potential to
contribute immediately as a role player. GRADE: A-"
The question comes down to only this. Do you like that the
Bears picked the top QB of a class FINALLY or would it have been
better to push it off another year? We have been pushing it off
       for years.

Everyone on the Score and every writer in the Tribune except
Steve Rosenbloom are behind the pick, just saying...
Funny story, when I left Detroit at 2am, I got a chance to
listen to the score over night. I can't remember the guys name
but he was heading to Disney World in Orlando after his show.
Apparently he doesn't follow college football closely because
when the got to the recap and was pronouncing the names of
players he kept calling Jabrill (JA-brill) Peppers, calling him
JA-Quill Peppers. He did that every update which was probably
about 5 times, and never corrected it. So either he wrote his
own update and miswrote the name, or someone pranked him at the
Score and he didn't know it.

Mayock said no QB in this draft was first round material. Wait
       until next year.
We started a panic that the rest of the League bought into.
Luckily when we finally drafted a DB he suffered a season
ending injury last year keeping with a long standing BEARS
       tradition.

He should be. Worlds better than Josh Dobbs...
I hope he goes undrafted so he can choose where he goes.

Ran the numbers on the trade up.
Value for moving up in the draft from 3 to pick 2:
       3rd rounder
       4th rounder
       5th rounder
Bears didn't give up the 5th but did give up next years 3.
I think the 49ers got a bit more than they should have but from
what I read it sounded like when a QB is involved the charts go
       out the window.

Did Peterman play in the Senior game or the North-South game ?
I know I saw him somewhere.

We could have had Desmond King with our 4th round draft
pick, but,Pace figures we needed another interior lineman,F---'in
amazing. This draft is by far the worst I can remember. I'll
change my mind if Trubisky becomes a hall of fame QB.How many
nobodies can one person draft in one draft. That will be the
question asked in the Guiness Book of Records relating to our
       draft.
