AJ reed has been optioned... before i make a move, anyone have
interest in Ian Happ?
Looking for an RP as i'm pretty sure Albarto Mejia just lost his
chance at making the roster with last nights shellacking.

Sure am glad I drafted this guy. I guess this what you deserve
when you draft a Deadbird ...
[i]Kolten Wong said Sunday that he would "100 percent" rather be
traded than be platooned at second base.
It was one of a host of scathing comments from Wong in the wake
of Cardinals manager Mike Matheny saying Saturday that the club
would consider a platoon at second base. "I honestly don't give
a (censored)," Wong said when asked about the team mulling over
a platoon. Wong added that he doesn't want to be "wasting my
time" with the Cards if they don't have faith in him. They're
words Wong probably shouldn't have aired in public, but you can
understand his frustration after the club essentially committed
to him as the regular second baseman this winter. That said,
Wong could make it all a moot point if he simply played better.
He sports an underwhelming career .248/.309/.370 batting line
and entered Sunday hitting just .182/.265/.250 this spring. Mar

Question for The Circle.
It looks like Alex Wood is competing for the 5th spot in the
Dodgers rotation with Brandon McCarthy. If the Dodgers move
Wood to relief, would I be able to move him there as well?
Read your rules! Yes, you can move him down, but only
with a clear statement that he will relieve rather than start.
After 3 starts, you lose points.

BTW, tico and others. We forgot the other day when discussing
this rule that we dropped it to 3 rather than 5 starts last
year. I forgot we voted on that.
Brandon McCarthy has won the final spot
in the Dodgers' rotation.
He beat out Alex Wood, who will pitch out of the bullpen.
McCarthy was probably going to get the spot, anyway, but Wood's
hopes might have officially sunk when he was roughed up against
the Reds on Tuesday. McCarthy holds a 4.85 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and
7/1 K/BB ratio this spring. He should be deep mixed league
worthy if he can stay healthy, although he might not have a
rotation spot long with Julio Urias' impending arrival.
The Brats sign Hyun-Jin Ryu, release Jeremy Jeffress, and move
Alex Wood to RP. Waiver #3.
