I thought Mills looked pretty solid after he settled in.

Seems to be some sentiment Addy is primed for a big year.

Taylor Davis looks like he escaped the Doobie Brothers' tour
bus.

Barring some serious injury or unanticipated regression from a
position player, if Russell has the kind of improvement he and
the team seem to expect, Baez has reasonable improvement at the
plate, Schwarber is available for a full season without a
serious decline from what he did in 2015, and Heyward comes
close to resembling the pre-2016 Heyward, the 2017 Cubs could be
a major offensive force.

Eddie Butler has thrown two pitches and Alcides Escobar
hammered them both. The second stayed fait and went over the
fence in left center.

Jorge Soler just took a 94-mph heater to the shoulder area from
Eddie Butler

My tweets on Butler don't sound positive, but outside of homer
& HBP, he's kept ball on ground a lot & been efficient, 21
pitches thru two.

Heyward now 0-10 with the new swing. I'd like to think that's
the kinks working their way out, but I doubt it.

Smh...
Sure would be nice to have Fowler and say Cueto with that lost
money.

But we wouldn't have had anyone to deliver the rain delay
speech. Without that speech the Cubs don't win the WS.

It isn't like Bryant, Rizzo or Schwarber are knocking the cover
off the ball yet either.
