Why? Based on:
1. Comments by Theo/Hoyer to that effect?
2. You just figure they don't have discretionary money for guys
that good? That they just cashed out this winter's money on
Heyward?
3. Or that they have enough cash and could if they wanted, but
will rather spend it differently, whether on Fowler or by
spread-it-around approach?

craig, that was my impression from what I have heard from Jed in
interviews. He didn't sound enthusiastic about the high cost of
elite closers. Seems likely they will have other priorities
(CF/leadoff hitter, controlled SP).

Rossy is apparently meeting with Theo after Thanksgiving to talk
about some sort of role with the team. Even if it's as a
part-time coach or something, I hope they work something out.
He's become a kind of totem for this team.
