Carrie Muskat says tickets to the 2017 Cubs Convention are not
yet available. Would "ZOO" be a good way to describe what that
will be like?

I forgot about him. His market will be interesting, I've heard

Rich Hill looks dominant when he's healthy. He also looks like
he's made of glass. I wouldn't be the one giving him 3 years @
20.

Edinson Volquez is officially a FA - no qualifying offer. Might
be an interesting buy-low candidate - there's certainly no
precipitous decline in his velocity yet, and he was pretty good
in 14-15. At 33 he might be willing to take a shorter deal, or
even a 1-year to try and improve his value.

I'm curious to see if cubs add a fifth guy with upside. Cubs
brass have done an excellent job of identifying guys that give
Bosio something to work with, and Bosio has done an excellent
job coaching them up. Of course, that guy probably already in
the organization in Montgomery, but it'll be interesting to see
who to they acquire nonetheless.

At two years for $30M total, I would get on that riverboat. A
two years for $30M a year (which is what 2/$30 is), I hope the
Cubs watch from the riverbank.

Chapman or Jansen is fine with me. Jansen better except for the
qualifying offer. Of course, who knows what the new CBA will
portend.
