Baez is so special, so much talent. And only 23. He can be as
good or better than anyone in this cast of stars, and he has a
manager smart enough to get him there.

Woke up early, tuned in to see just one pitch, and it was the
final grounder to Javy to win it. He made a nice play there,
too.
And I think when Matt Vasgersian asked him about a "curtain
call", Javy had no idea what that word meant. Come on, Matt,
he's not a native speaker. Ask him how it felt to come back out
of the dugout or something.

Baez made two great defensive plays in the ninth.
Agreed on the curtain call question. My wife is a speech
therapist. We both cringed.

I wonder - would you ever consider Javy at 2B, Bryant in LF and
Zobrist at 3B? I don't think there'a any question Javy starts
every game, and the dropoff defensively to Zobrist at 2B is
huge. Is the defense better switching up Bryant and Zobrist?
