All of the above. Regrouping at 5 PM sharp at my sports bar of
choice with my brother to see how Rounds 2 and 3 play out.
PFT had the Bears taking some midget WR (since we don't have
enough of them already :'( ) out of Troy... and if that
happens it will not be a good night. Would much rather see us
go all-in, package our 2nd with our 3rd and get into the top 10
of the 2nd round and get Marvin Austin before the Vikings do.

At this point in the draft I'm comfortable with the risk/reward
on Austin.
I'm also very concerned about him landing on the Vikings if they
decide to grab him as a make-good to all their fans who are
p-issed about not taking Fairley last night.
Suh/Fairley for 2 games, and Kevin Williams/Marvin Austin for
another two? With our interior OL? That should keep any Bears
fan up at night.
If Austin doesn't make it to the Vikings though, I would be
equally happy with staying where we're at and getting
Wiesniewski.

I see that ESPN had that DT from Iowa rated high. Whats the
Que's on him. Is he worthwhile waiting for or do we need to
trade up for Austin?

Kiper has Austin lasting til our pick at 62. I certainly hope

Another player of extreme interest will be D'Quan Bowers. At
what point does some team decide the risk/reward on him has
tipped far enough to pull the trigger? Will some team actually
trade up to get him?
If I trusted our medical staff as far as I could throw them...
which I don't... and if Bowers was sitting there at 62 and they
gave the greenlight I would be accepting, but skeptical. And
that would be assuming of course that Austin and possibly other
3-Techniques were off the board. OTOH trading up to get Bowers
is clearly out of the question as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah no way Austin lasts that long. And I dont think Wiesnewski
lasts that long either.

LOL I could see Angelo throwing all caution to the winds and
taking Bowers at the bottom of the 2nd and Marcus Cannon (the
huge OG with lymphoma) at the bottom of the 3rd.
If both those guys work out he's a genius and if they don't he
retires and lets Ruskell clean up the mess.
