Clearly Thompson was trying to trade down from #32 but
apparently there was no one there that another GM lusted for. I
think that Sherrod is probably a reasonable pick at #32 but
Thompson was likely looking for more draft picks.
The fact that Brooks Reed and Mike LeShoure were still on the
board and he didn't draft one showed either his lack of respect
for them or satisfaction with his RBs and LBs. There is no
sense drafting a player if he is not going to be better than you
already have.

PFT's 2nd round mock has us taking a slot WR from Troy...
If we wanted to move up to grab Austin, it would have to be a
top pick in the 2nd...no way he falls past Denver after they
passed on Dareus in the 1st.

Happy about Carimi. Would do back flips if we could move up and
score Austin. I wonder how much it would take. 3rd and 4th,
3rd, and 5th, what would you give up to get Austin?

The team that scares me is NE. They traded a #1 for a 2012 #1 +
a #2 in this year's draft. They have 3 #2s and 2 #3s this
year. Add all that to a powerful 2010 team that had a ton of
young players and it looks scary for the future.

Just another black eye for Angelo. So the question is why
couldnt they communicate the trade with the league? The Ravens
did, but we didnt.
