I think there are lot of very smart, high character 20-year-olds
who have been in academic troubles. Be nice.
Babe Ruth would have been academically ineligible for burger
flipper.

Before Bethune-Cookman
Played two seasons at Clarendon College… Named the 2014 Baseball
I All-American Second Team member… Also a Western Junior College
Athletic Conference all-league performer in 2014… Played as a
designated hitter and catcher… Batted .442 as a sophomore in
2015… Recorded 10 home runs and 45 RBI for the season… Added 43
runs and swiped two stolen bases…
Puerto Rico Baseball Academy
Prepped at Puerto Rico Baseball Academy under head coach Carlos
Rivera… Played as a catcher, first baseman and outfielder… Went
4-for-4 on May 8, registering a home run and a double in Miami
as a senior… All-conference performer as a senior… Named an
All-America performer… Led the league in home runs, accumulating
more than 100 in his career as a four-year letterwinner… Helped
team to a league title as a senior… All-conference, All-America
and Team MVP performer in his junior season… Team won the state
championship during his junior campaign… Batted .420 as a
freshman, and then went .415 at the dish as a sophomore…
Personal
Born to parents Carlos Cruz and Luiz M. Rosario on January 13,
1996… Has two siblings – Carlos (27) and Kimberly (28)… Enjoys
hunting in his time away from the baseball field… Chose to
attend Bethune-Cookman because of the scholarship offer to play
baseball and earn a collegiate degree… Greatest sports memory is
blasting a grand slam in high school… Lists Yadier Molina as his
favorite athlete because he is a leader and a good example of
men to follow… Favorite movies are Avatar and The Avengers… His
most prized possession is having Jesus Christ as his savior…
Says if he were not attending B-CU, then he would still be
attempting to play baseball… Most influential people in his life
are God, his parents and girlfriend…Favorite book is The Bible…

Cruz is pretty young for a college pick. 20, Just turned 20
this year.
