I thought Corn had a really nice game, and it was good to see
the rookie secondary guys (Bush, Hall, Houston-Carson) get some
valuable experience.

Definitely a "Fetch the eye-bleach" type of game, but it is
pre-season after all....
FWIW I watched all the 1st Q of the other 5 games last night
(Bears game started last of them all so multi-screened them
streaming) and NONE of the other teams looked as discombobulated
and so low-energy as the Bears did. Small sample size but bad
showing for the home crowd.
Perception is reality it seems these days and I'd be kinda
cheesed off wasting my time going to that game.....
Maybe Fox is setting the bar low (although any lower and it will
fall through the Earth). Let's see if the Bears don't trip and
stub their big toe against NE......

Don't care about the score or how veterans look. We know what
they can do.
1. Pleased to see Floyds pass rush. He was in the backfield
and was trouble for anyone blocking.
2. Finally we have a GM who finds tall, fast athletic corners
instead of the short small backups of Emery and Angelo.
. They missed a lot of plays but there is certainly a good
group to work with.
3. Only 1 pass to Smith? Please get the guy some plays.
4. Finally Cornelius Washington looking good then he gets hurt
again. Too
. bad he's such a good athlete. Hope it's not the end of his
career.

After the first Denver Offense drive and score ... did they
ever score again ?
(Which was a single BEARS player getting jacked.)
I can't remember, wasn't the rest of the points scored by
Denver's Defense ?
And not their Offense ?

No word on Cornelius Washington. Maybe no news is good
news...but it never seems to work that way.
He's not quick enough to be a 4-3 end or a 3-4 OLB, I think 3-4
DE is his position. Before last night I'd say he was 8th on a 7
man depth chart.

Washington looked real good in the second half. I thought
Howard looked like he has some potential. And I want to see
more of Connor Shaw before total garbage time. As for Paxton
Lynch, I liked what I saw of him, wish we had him.

Lackluster performance. O line looked horrible. First preseason
game, means very little... Still, was hard to watch..

The fact that Gould didn't even get one chance to try a FG (even
a long one) shows that the O probably has some distance to go.
We can say "its just preseason" but that offense looked very
John-Shoopish and the Bears have done the dance with QB coach
becoming OC before....
Didn't see that bad performance from any of the other offenses
playing PS week 1.....

They said the Bears never crossed the 40 yard line all game.
Pitiful.

Fox has set the bar low.... very low... let's see if they can
"better" that performance vs the Patriots (would be kind of hard
to do much worse)......
