Actually they are OTA's. And I think the Lions are starting
theirs next Wednesday. Unless of course the NFL wins their
appeal then they will all be cancelled.

Bears plan to start offseason program May 9

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears plan to start their offseason
program a week from Monday (May 9) and conduct their rookie
minicamp May 6-8 and their full-squad minicamp June 3-5 at Halas
Hall.
Matt Forte and his Bears teammates can return to Halas Hall at 7
a.m. Friday.
Those dates were set Thursday after the NFL had notified its
clubs that they could resume operations at 7 a.m. Friday.
At that time, players will be permitted to enter team facilities
to work out, receive medical treatment, meet with coaches, watch
tape and pick up playbooks.
The Bears' offseason program originally was supposed to begin on
Monday, April 11.
It still has not yet been determined when the official league
year will begin, which means that free agency remains on hold.
Teams also cannot sign undrafted free agents or trade players
under contract.
The situation remains fluid and could change at any time. The
Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis still may
grant the NFL a stay of the lockout.
U.S. District Judge Susan Nelson on Wednesday denied the
league’s request for a stay of her Monday ruling that lifted the
lockout. If the lockout is reinstated, players would again be
prohibited from entering team facilities.

WGN said the lockout is over and players can come workout at NFL
facilities

The lock out is over for now. The NFL is appealing to a higher
court. It could be over for good or be back on in a few weeks.

Funniest thing I read on PFT was from a comment under an Al
Davis picture. "Just die baby" I think I spit coffee on the
laptop with that one.

Appeals court reinstates lockout, during draft

Earlier today, ESPN reported that the U.S. Court of Appeals for
the Eighth Circuit had granted the NFL’s request for a temporary
stay of the ruling lifting the lockout, until the Eighth Circuit
could rule on the request for a less-temporary stay of the
ruling while the league’s appeal is considered.
As it turns out, the report wasn’t wrong. It was just
premature.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the temporary stay has been
granted, which means that the lockout is back on. For now.
It’ll be interesting to see whether Commissioner Roger Goodell
confirms the news from the podium at Radio City Music Hall.
The assembled fans wouldn’t be booing in response. They’d be
chanting “Goooooodell.”
Meanwhile, the teams that were smart enough to distribute
playbooks today — and all 32 of them should have done it — will
have an edge if the lockout ends up remaining in place until
August or later.

If you really value football being played on time this year
thats a real blow. If the appeals court restores the lockout
permanently it will be the end of football this year
I want to see real NFL football this year not scab football.
