You mean the players dont have access to lawyers that are
experts in the financial field? I believe they can have access
to experts to evaluate the books properly
[/quote]
Half these guys won't understand it even if their lawyer or
agent or whatever dummies it down.
I am realizing more and more, based on incidents both on and off
the field, that the average intelligence of the NFL player is
really quite low.

The players are the "talent". As in any entertainment industry
are to be used mercessly (see the Christians re: the Lions) and
pitched aside when no longer of any use. The people running the
show on both sides have no need nor want any the "talent" to
have any "brains" past what they need to entertain.

Players have no need to see the books. They have been offered a
job playing football. If they don't want it for whatever reason
then move on and get a job somewhere else.

The more I read about this kid, the more I like him.
He's the real deal. If he stays healthy and his team puts (and
keeps) good players around him, the Bucs should be set at QB for
the next 8-10 years.

BRILLIANT
In an interview with Rick Reilly of ESPN, Peyton Manning admits
as much by saying, "they have these new [brain] tests we have to
take. Before the season, you have to look at 20 pictures and
turn the paper over and then try to draw those 20 pictures. And
they do it with words, too. Twenty words, you flip it over, and
try to write those 20 words. Then, after a concussion, you take
the same test and if you do worse than you did on the first
test, you can't play. So I just try to do badly on the first
test.'
