Got a text in to my brother who lives 20 minutes from the
       proposed new Vikings stadium site.
Hoping he can give me a download on the latest and how the
       locals are feeling about it.

I for one, am glad the Vikings are staying put. I hate to see a
bitter rival leave the division. Bears, Packer, Vikings, Lions
have played in the same division my entire life and that's the
way it should stay, dag nab it!

Big plans for this new stadium according to my brother who lives
about 10 miles from the proposed new site.
They're looking at not just a stadium, but an entire complex
that will include a Vikings Hall of Fame, restaurants, shopping,
etc. Parking space for 21,000 vehicles which will be needed
since public transit to that area (i.e., light rail) does not
       exist.
If any of you want to Google Map it, put in Shoreview and that's
where the proposed site is. It is actually the former site of an
       ammunition plant.

       From PFT:
There might be a good option just north of Chicago anyway. James
Jones desperately wants to start in the NFL, but he's getting
squeezed out of Green Bay's plans. He certainly has the talent
       to start, however.
Packers fans might not like it, and Bears fans might not want
him because of his Packers connections, but Jones would give Jay
Cutler and Mike Martz another productive receiving talent to
       help improve their passing game.

Why would Bears fans not want him? That's insanity. The
Packers' 4th or 5th best WR is as good as our 3rd guy, easily.
We went the majority of last year with one legit NFL WR
(Bennett), a fast but undersized project (Knox) and a gadget guy
(Hester). And we didn't address WR in the draft AT ALL. Bringing
a guy like James Jones into the fold could only help.

Actually, Jones and Nelson were co-equal #3s.

Well Knox was an all-pro a couple years ago and had close to a
thousand yards receiving this past season and you call him a
       "project"? Incredible.
And Hester led the team in receptions a couple years ago and
averaged close to 12 ypc last season is now a "gadget guy"?
       Unbelievable....
And whom would you prefer the Bears draft around the 3rd round
and below that you feel could make a difference this season?

I think we used Hester a lot better this past season, though I
am still looking for those crossing patterns that they throw to
Deseasn Jackson. Kind of like keep away.
