The issue with the amnesty clause that concerns me is whether
its the whole contract as it was originally written or it will
be based on the 25% deflated salaries I hear they want to put in
place. Why pay the guy the original amount when if you keep him,
his contract goes down by 25%?
Can you imagine Bron, Wade, and Bosh having their contracts
deflated by 25%?

You could give Gilbert Arenas a 50% cut and that contract would
still be an albatross. Taking on that contract may have been
Otis Smith's dumbest move as GM...and there are many moves to
choose from.

Very true. However, had he done this deal in the offseason it
may have given the Magic a chance to come together better as a
team. They looked more out of sync than out of talent in the
playoffs.
I can't see any deal they would make to trade Dwight early. And
I doubt they'd do any deal in the conference. If they trade
anybody early, it may be Jameer.

That embarrasing flop by James on the Rose "foul" is proof that
James will never be at MJ's level. That was bush league and
Jordan would never have done anything like that.
