I would hope Pace has more sense than that. I could see him
dropping down a few in the 1st but not completely out of the
first like Joki suggested. I think if Pace scores in FA then the
threat to drop down diminishes because he wont be so desperate
for talent

wshfl - I don't ever recall suggesting trading out of the 1st
round. The only suggestion I remember is if one of the top 3 QBs
are there we might trade down with the Rams for their #15 and
one of their 2nd rounders. I would have to think long and hard
to trade out of the top half of the 1st.Maybe with Houston for
their #1 this year and next.

spots[/B], not out of the 1st like Davebear. No problem. Maybe I
didn't fraise my previous statement as I meant it. Pardon for

Alright here's a scenario to chew on;
Muhammad Wilkerson(DE) most likely will be franchised.Trade the
rights to Martellus Bennett (TE) or a franchised Alshon Jeffrey
(WR) even up. Sign Danny Trevathan (ILB),Trumaine Johnson (CB)
and Cordy Glenn (OT) thru free agency.
Wilkerson (DE)(Jets) - $15 mil.for the first year.I'm not gonna
speculate on long term deals.
T.Johnson (CB)(Rams) - $10 mil.
C.Glenn (OT)(Bills) - $12 mil.
D.Trevathan (ILB)(Broncos) - $7 mil. That's a first year total
of $ 44 million for other team's free agents.
I would like to see us resign players like ;
Zack Miller (TE) - $ 3 mil.
Jarvis Jenkins (DE) - $4 mil.
Mitch Unrein (DT) - $1 mil.
Now on to the draft.I'm not going to speculate on possible
trades or players that most likely will not be there when it's
our turn.(For instance Hargreaves at #11)I'm trying to be
realistic.
1) Shaq Lawson (DE/OLB)
2) Will Fuller (WR)
3) Kyle Murphy (OT)
4) Kevin Hogan (QB)
5) Joe Schobert (OLB)
6) Evan Boehm (C)
6) D.J.White (CB)
6) Kolby Listenbee (WR)
7) Jake McGee (TE)

I could settle for Shaq Lawson if nothing better is available at
#11. And I could see a slight trade down too if the right deal
is available and still get Shaq Lawson. Again I wouldn't
subscribe to a QB at #11. Also just to throw something out for
something to talk about, how about those 2 safety FAs from the
Bengals? We sure need safetys.

Why would the Jets trade a premier dline player for either of
those players?

If you get rid of Alshon have to sign a veteran WR.
Kevin Smith and another rookie will drive Cutler crazy.
